by Environmental Articles on February 6, 2010

With concerns continually coming up about what the future of coal, oil and natural gas are, many people are looking into alternative energy. See those other sources are considered to be non-renewable because they will not last forever and take a while to build up again.

With alternative energy you are looking at choices that are easily renewable and will last. Such examples of this are wind, fuel cells, geothermal energy, micro turbines, and solar energy. With learning the right way to invest in these items you may be able to pull in a nice profit.

A good place that you should look for information on these different energies would by looking at companies located in China. There are four main companies that are developing new uses of energy that will be renewable and even green friendly.

Also some other countries that are doing business with these locations in the research of these energy alternatives should be looked into. Suntech Power Holdings, Renesola, China Biodiesel International, and China Sun Biochem. Plus the other companies you will need to look into are Suzlon, Nordex, Canadian Solar Inc, and Camco.

But what about those more established companies that are beginning to move to those energy alternatives too. With these you may have a bit less risk because they have been around for quite some time. Examples would be Sharp Solar, GE, Waste Management, and Johnson Controls.

Plus look at the companies that are involved in the Climate Action Partnership. They are companies that combined are trying to lobby for the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions all over the world. Some of them are Lehman Brothers, GE, Alcoa, Caterpillar, PG&E, Duke Energy, DuPont, BP, PNM resources, and FPL group.

Check into mutual funds that are formed for these renewable energy sources too. You don't have many that are presently available, but it will surely increase in the future. Also look into those exchange traded funds that are out there. These are items that you can buy and sell like a stock.

For those look into the falling PowerShares, WilderHIll Progressive or Clean Energy, and First Trust Clean Edge. Don't consider only those that are a small start up cost. Watch out for scams and talk to a financial advisor for help to make sure your getting a real deal.

Consider this a way to look to your future and be able to make money on something that is coming up fast.
